In 1972, Radio Shack introduced the 65-in-1 Electronic Kit. Based on earlier experiment kits, it contained all the components needed to create sixty-five different electronic projects without any soldering, all intended to teach the user about basic electronics, but also introducing revolutionary new solid-state components such as the Zener Diode.
This channel will present a video for each project (for a total of sixty-five) that reveals how to wire the circuit, what it does, and exploring the electronic theory behind the circuit. I'll make reference to the enormous instruction book as well as my college electronic engineering textbooks in covering the basic electronics in each project.
This channel is aimed at anyone who had one of the kits and lost it (long ago) or who is interested in what a cutting edge edutainment toy from the 1970's looked like. You might even learn about electronics if I do my job well! While there are a wealth of open-source electronic simulation tools available, there's a visceral satisfaction in hand wiring a project and hearing it chirp.
