"The Legacy of Heart Mountain" is a documentary about the internment of Japanese-Americans during WWII. Winner of three Emmy Awards and an Edward R. Murrow Award.

Act One showcases The Hirahara Photo Collection. With over 2000 photos of camp life, it's one of the most extensive photo collections on Heart Mountain. Father & Son, George and Frank Hirahara, were photographers who built a secret darkroom under their barracks.

Camp diversions like the Boy Scouts and Sports are also featured in this segment.
