Clinical Nurse Specialists Fiona Mutch and Beth Westaway share what a Clinical Nurse Specialist does and how to become a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
Their nurse-led clinics include comprehensive physical assessments, health education and health promotion, and life-saving follow up advice and treatments. Fiona and Beth explain other aspects of their Clinical Nurse Specialist role, such as running telephone clinics and collaborating with multi-disciplinary team members.
Beth and Fiona lead a nurse-led outreach programme that provides free health checks for men. This programme aims to improve early diagnosis of prostate cancer and other urological cancers.
