This year each tree on either side of the front door has two sets or 250 Twinkly RGBW "intelligent" lights which gives the patterns more definition than last year when there was just 250 on each side. Things like the Stars and Stripes and Union Flag almost work with this definition of lights.
The house is in the middle of the village which is kind of famous throughout Essex for having the village tree in the middle of the pond. The night was very still and there's almost no ripple on the pond so it's difficult to see where the tree ends and the reflection starts.
I'm biased but, (apart from Graham's which can't really be seen in the video) I think we "won" this year's light display and it's all thanks to Twinkly and their super intelligent light system which uses a photo of the light layout to work out how to map patterns onto the lights. It's true I have been a bit frustrated by the phone/tablet software that controls everything but once I realised the Apple iPad/iPhone version is more reliable than the Android version and I started to use that things got a lot better.
To hide the sound of cars and people going past I put a music track onto this video. I am indebted to [ Ссылка ] which provide royalty free MP3s that are really good - especially the ones from "Lesfm" !
As always I edited the video using KdenLive. It runs wonderfully on Windows 11 and the power of this Lenovo Ideapad 3 with Ryzen 7 5700U made sure that the results were rendered faster than realtime (in fact the 25fps video rendered at 48 fps!)
