In Iraq, archaeologists recently unearthed an ancient Sumerian riverboat. They discovered it in 2018 in the old city of Uruk. For those who don't know, Uruk was the first actual city in the world. They originally founded it in 5000 BC when two smaller settlements merged, and it became the very first major metropolis.
