Sony's top-of-the-line analog Hi8 camcorder from 2001, with a huge 3½-inch LCD. Too bad it only has monaural audio, but for the price I paid, I can't complain! The CCD-TRV98 also makes an excellent low light camcorder, with the best ever sensitivity of 0.4 lux, and a powerful built-in halogen spotlight, as well as NightShot.
To answer the question everyone is asking: To capture video from Video8 or Hi8 tapes on your computer, use either a USB video capture device such as "EasyCap", or a video capture card. Or for something more sophisticated, you can use a Digital8 camcorder that can play analog Video8/Hi8 tapes and transfer them into your computer via a FireWire port.
