In this video we will describe Gasket Definition
Gaskets are pieces of resilient material that are used to prevent leaks between stationary surfaces.
They are found on pump housings, between pipe flanges, and in many other places around the plant.
When the gasket material is squeezed between two stationary surfaces, it is compressed.
The material actually flows into small imperfections that exist in the sealing surfaces and thus closes off possible leakage paths.
