VFW past-Commander-in-Chief William “Doc” Schmitz presented the Commander-in-Chief Gold Medal of Merit to Dan Starks. Starks is the founder and sole investor of the National Museum of Military Vehicles, located near Dubois, Wyo. Starks addressed convention delegates during the business session on July 20, 2022 in at the 123rd VFW National Convention in Kansas City, Mo.
