I make my way to the most north West Point of the Orkney islands to an island known as Westray. I arrive at the little harbour in Pierowall. The bay outside the harbour has good holding in sand and you can sit out weather if you anchors in the right spot. The little harbour can be accessed anytime of tide. Don’t head to the back of the harbour in your fin keel unless you want to hit the bottom. The place has a little shower and toilet and the village has two shops. I was greeted the next day by the harbour master and his side kick Jacob. All I can say these two men in my eyes are what Orkney islanders are about. Very kind and pleasant people and would bend over back ways to help. This place offers some serious walking and there is a lot more to see here if you get your finger out. Again round these islands be very aware of your tides as they can be dangerous. I would waffle anymore so any questions feel free to ask. Hope you enjoy the island
