When thinking about electric vehicles, most people think about the Tesla Model S, Model X, Model 3, Chevrolet Bolt EV, Nissan LEAF, Hyundai Kona Electric or one of the soon-to-launch long-range models coming to market.

All of them promise ranges in excess of 200 miles per charge, rapid charging and seating for at least four. And electric cars that travel less far per charge are seen as far less desirable -- even though they are far cheaper to build and buy. 

In a similar vein, most people won't consider buying a car unless it has at least four seats -- in the U.S. and Canada at least -- and while two-seat cars are more popular in other parts of the world, there's very much a market trend toward larger vehicles like SUVs and pickup trucks. 

Yet one Canadian company has just launched a vehicle in the U.S. (and is already delivering them in Canada) that throws the rule book out the window. It's small, seats one, has a range of 100 miles per charge, and is built as an everyday commuter alternative to a motorcycle. It also costs about half as much as the cheapest electric car on sale today. 

But will buyers want it? And is it too quirky to catch on? We're going to be getting one to drive in the next few months, but until then, here's a quick run down of the tiny electric car you probably don't know anything about.
