The benefits of Bandha’s are numerous.
A Bandha directs energy around the body by performing a lock or bind by contracting certain muscles.
The 4 Bandha’s are:
- Mula Bandha
- Udiyana Bandha
-Jalahandra Bandha
- Maha Bandha (the royal lock)
Each of these directs energy by contracting the perineum, the abdomen and the throat.
The final Bandha - Maha Bandha, combines all three locks simultaneously.
