Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance Industries Limited, announced Jio's 4G services in June 2015. And since then, Jio has come a long way. In Oct 2022, Jio began rolling out 5G services in select cities in India. Currently, Jio users who receive the Welcome Offer will be able to enjoy unlimited internet consumption at no extra cost if their mobile has an active recharge plan- prepaid or postpaid- for Rs 239 or higher. Jio continues to be a major player in the Indian telecommunications market, offering both 4G and 5G services to its customers, as well as other services such as home broadband and enterprise solutions.
