In the world of Gypsy Jazz, Tchavolo Schmitt needs no introduction; he is one of the legends of the style. Born in Paris into a family of musicians, he picked up the guitar at an early age and was soon playing in all the popular spots in Paris. Today, he is one of the most influential players following in the footsteps of Django Reinhardt. He can be seen in leading roles in the films "Latcho Drom" and "Swing". He has also been featured in many Gypsy Jazz documentaries.
