Workers' Party chair Sylvia Lim has filed a new motion to speak about issues surrounding the case of former domestic worker Parti Liyani at the next sitting of Parliament. Ms Parti was acquitted from stealing from her former employer, ex-Changi Airport Group chairman Liew Mun Leong, after a high court judge took aim at how investigations were conducted. Ms Lim's motion will call on the government to recognise and remedy shortcomings in the justice system. If approved, Ms Lim will get to speak for at least 40 minutes and other MPs can debate the motion before it's put to a vote.
