Sorry for the bad audio, but this is what I got.
Cannibal Corpse/Obituary/Cyptopsy/Abysmal Dawn - Feb 26th, 2016 @ The Cabooze, Minneapolis, MN
Review from then:
What a great death metal line-up. Cannibal Corpse killed it like always. I like all the other bands, but I don't have any albums(besides a few Cryptopsy albums I got way back when). Obituary was awesome, Cyptopsy was ridiculous (in a great way), and Abysmal Dawn was good too. The crowd was pretty great, despite the usual "a few douche bags".
I usually wouldn't mention a bit, but this one was one of the largest I've seen in a while, and pretty wild. I usually like to stand at as the first row edge of a pit because it's like moshing vicariously through others these days, I can see the band well, and I will help those who get knocked down up. After help picking up many people as usually, this is one fo the few times I got smacked in the face and almost lost my glasses. There flew off my face but I pulled some ninja shit and caught them. That was towards the end of the night so I decided that was enough pit time for this show.
I also had a thought worth sharing. Becoming an older metal show patreon at this point, seeing more and more of younger generations becoming a larger percentage of the audience at metal shows I'll say this: Despite what ever differences metalhead generations have from one to the next, and not agreeing on music choices, these younger folks are going to these shows and supporting the bands. Old fan or new, that's legit. \m/
