This is the video clip of The Ground Beneath Her Feet, by U2. The song is based on the novel of the same title written by Salman Rushdie. The song was featured in the film The Million Dollar Hotel. It has been said that Bono got the idea of writing this song after reading the manuscript of The Ground Beneath Her Feet, the novel. Lyrics are based on the following line, by character Ormus Cama, as a lamentation for the death of his lover, Vina Apsara:

"She was my ground, my favorite sound, my country road, my city street, my sky above, my only love, and the ground beneath my feet"
