James Manistas of Murphy & Manitsas LLP, tells jurors that the adult daughters of Zoe Rosenthal, a 52-year-old woman who died after being hit by a truck in a crosswalk, were independent women who did not often rely their mother's advice on major life decisions. Manistas represented the defense in the Massachusetts, damages-only trial, which ultimately resulted in a $9.5 million award, including $3 million to each of Rosenthal's two daughters.
