ECO Waters Ltd says plans are well underway to deliver Gibraltar’s first waste water treatment plant, which could service the Rock for the next 50 years.
The absence of any such facility in Gibraltar has drawn both local and international criticism over many years, with raw sewage pumped out directly into the sea.
Both the current and previous administrations have referenced the particular difficulties posed by Gibraltar’s use of salt water in its water system, but the director of ECO waters is confident that viable technologies can now be applied here on the Rock.
