As per the Instant Pot Instruction manual... the Instant Pot Water Test is the very first thing you will do as an Instant Pot 101 beginner. Basically, we take our Instant Pots for their first complete Test Run. Instead of adding recipe ingredients we start with the specially featured main ingredient of water and that is what makes steam pressure for the water test.
