He made a name for himself competing on Top Chef Canada and is now the successful chef and owner of Vancouver based Fable Kitchen and Fable Diner. But for Trevor Bird, starting off his career hasn’t been without personal challenges.
"When things are very hard and coming down on you… don’t get down on yourself about it. Know that what is happening will make you better person, not matter what the situation is, so that’s probably the biggest life lesson that I’ve ever had."
