The date is Saturday morning in 1997. You woke up extra early to watch a string of your favorite cartoons for the next couple of hours. You snuggle up in a blanket and allow the couch cushion to envelope you with its softness.

You hit the power button on the remote, and the TV kicks on. As it comes into focus, you hear the all too familiar tune of the opening song to "Hey Arnold!" Your favorite show.

But suddenly, a wave of sleepiness hits you. Maybe it was the pancakes, combined with the softness of the couch, that's made you feel sleepy.

You yawn and close your eyes, just for a moment. You don't know how long it's been, but the next thing you notice is the feeling of a hand on your shoulder giving you a gentle push.

"Hey, kid," a familiar voice speaks to you.

Your eyes flutter open, and it takes a moment for your eyes to adjust. When you realize where you are and whose voice just spoke to you, it jolts you up.

Staring at you with a concerned look on their face is Arnold and Gerald.

"Hey, kid," Arnold says again. "You alright? Where did you come from?"

Shocked and not knowing what to say, you stay silent with your mouth hanging open.

"Don't worry," Gerald says. "We'll help figure it out."

"Yeah," says Arnold. "Just relax in my room for a moment, and we'll go get the gang and figure out this mystery."

Before they leave, Arnold throws on some of his favorite tunes and puts the TV on mute to help you feel more at home. Even though you don't know how you got here, you don't feel scared at all. You take a moment to look around and take in your surroundings and really can't believe that you're in Hey Arnold's room in 1997 listening to the music.
