These SOURDOUGH PAN DE SAL are soft rolls, fluffy on the inside and delightfully crusty on the outside.This recipe makes 16 Pandesal rolls and can be easily doubled if desired. The recipe requires quite a bit of starter, so if needed, plan ahead and make a preferment. And since we didn’t use commercial yeast, these Pandesal take quite a bit longer to rise.

Ingredients:
1 cup warm fresh milk
1/2 cup active sourdough starter (100% hydration)
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp salt
1 pc egg
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tbsp cooking oil
