My mom gave me Carole King's 'Tapestry' album for my 10th birthday, and it became the soundtrack to a road trip we took soon after. We both cherished that album - spending countless hours poring over every lyric and melody. Then and now, the songs are thrilling like a new adventure, comfortable like a lifelong friendship, joyous, empowering, and beautifully melancholy— sometimes all at once— with a kind of magic warmth that runs throughout.
