Composition:
An exemplary Spicy Oriental Amber, Old Spice comprises of warm, dry notes paired with sharp spices and herbs. Despite its modest price tag, it’s a remarkably complex and deep cologne.
Head Notes:
- Blood Orange
- Anise
- Nutmeg
Heart Notes:
- Carnation
- Jasmine
- Cinnamon
Base Notes:
- Sandalwood
- Vetiver
- Tonka Bean
- Patchouli
A fresh head of blood orange invigorates the senses, which is closely followed by anise and nutmeg, which provide depth. A floral heart follows, which is composed of carnations and jasmine, backed up by dry cinnamon notes.
Fresh cedar wood interacts with powdery amber resin. A drawn-out vanilla finish tantalises the palate and provokes the appetite with gourmand notes.
Old Spice can be likened to mulled wine by an open fire during Christmas. Its exotic notes are warm, dry yet comprise of refreshing scents too. However, it owes its success to the whimsical nostalgia that many associate with it.
Old Spice is a timeless classic with its bursts of citrus, floral notes and a musky resinous base. It’s a deeply familiar cologne for men and women alike and fails to disappoint on every application.
