This song marks the 12th and final track of our Sound of the House: Vol 2 collective of songs. It's reaches the inevitable resolve of coming into contact with the perfect love of Jesus: complete surrender. So many of us in that Harley warehouse the night of the recording brought our darkest fears, our relationship baggage and deep-cut wounds only to find out that He's still in the business shouldering our every anxiety. We continue to be captivated by this visual of the Father completely disregarding his reputation to run out to his prodigal son returning home. Such depths of self-sacrificing love compel us to do the same. The bridge comes to a deafening reality that lingers on the words of Paul to the Ephesians: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Eph3:18-19) Our thoughts for you are the same. We hope this song, as it encapsulates the heartbeat of this album, leads you to richly know this love that surpasses knowledge. Love you all! Enjoy.
