A minute of silence was held in the French parliament on Thursday, after a knife attack at a church in the Mediterranean city of Nice.
At least three people were killed and several others injured in a suspected terror attack at a church in the southern French city of Nice, police said.
The knife rampage took place at the Notre Dame Basilica at around 9am on Thursday, according to a police spokesman.
"A man has been arrested at the scene after being shot by police" he said. "Both victims were beheaded," he added, pointing to "a terrorist attack".
