Manoj Thakker: I started a new practice about two and a half years ago, so I wanted to have an EMR in place at the initiation of my practice. I’ve heard about EMA through a colleague of mine. I did look at a number of other EMR systems but it wasn’t long before I realized that EMA was the right EMR system for my practice.
There are many reasons I chose EMA. The user interface and design are visually engaging. The system itself is very user-friendly and easy to learn, it’s customizable and you can create notes that are clinically meaningful and easy to read.
EMA has improved the efficiency and workflow of my office tremendously. Staff no longer have to look for charts, lab tests, photos, consents or other paperwork as they are saved in the electronic record system. In addition, patient instructions are automatically printed from the EMA system which my saves my staff a great deal of time. I would say that EMA probably saved me about one and a half hours a day in the office.
I feel the most useful aspect of EMA is the ability to access and enter patient data from any computer or iPad that has internet access. What impresses me the most is how user-friendly and easy to learn it is.
Overall, I feel that EMA has all the advantages of an EMR system with few of the drawbacks and I would recommend this EMR system highly to anybody who’s interested in incorporating an EMR system into their practice.
