This Active Ageing chair class caters to anyone who is 60+ years old or anyone with issues getting down to the floor. You will need a stable chair and a long scarf or towel for this workout.
We will be doing binding diaphragmatic breathing exercises to exercise the lungs and how to do the deep, transverse abdominis engagement. The exercises taught in this class are translated from the traditional Pilates exercises. We will strengthen your upper back, shoulders, arms, and hips and improve your balance.
This class is osteopenia and osteoporosis safe too. Please listen to your body whilst performing the exercises. Do not push into movements that do not feel comfortable or good.
