People on youtube said you couldn't cut a metric thread with a mini lathe with an imperial lead screw but you can if you change gears which you can with a mini lathe. Cutting a metric 10x1.5mm thread with a mini lathe with an imperial leadscrew using the mini lathe gear change calculator. I was not making anything in particular just trying to cut METRIC threads. I put the after results before and then the video footage of me making the cuts. It might be boring but it's all there. Seemed like I took 100 cuts huh? lol
The difficult part about this is you cannot use the powerfeed to turn down the material once you set up the gears for threading this 1.5mm pitch so you either have to turn down the material first then change gears or you have to manually do it which doesn't leave the best finish. I manually turned down this piece then cut the threads.
