Austrian-American film actress Hedy Lamarr blended brains and beauty with patriotism. She co-invented a radio guidance system for Allied torpedoes during WWII. This technology became the precursor to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
For her achievements, Lamarr was inducted into both the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the National Inventors Hall of Fame.
