💖🔹 8 Tools I Use for Modding Switches!🔹💖 I know I did a similar video in the past (I think early last year?), but here’s what I currently use when working on keyboard switches! I’m also featuring Azure Dragon V2 Tactile switches from @hippokeyscom, which will be brought into a keyboard build next week! Sound test coming soon, and you can use code ✨MOCHI✨ for 10% off ! 😍Here are some details on each tool in the meantime:
💙 Switch Opener: there’s tons of switch openers out there in this style, but my favorite is the cat-themed one from @kineticlabs.store because it’s cute and functional! 😻
💙 Organizing Containers: I just use plastic jars or boxes to separate out the switch parts, but I also use sandwich bags for bag lubing my springs.
💙 Lube Station: I know it’s not 100% necessary, but I love being able to lube everything and organize all my tools with the @personalloot Blush Lube Station (designed by @playmaker.keyboards + @ogbuth + @mechyzme)! It holds up to 70 switches too!
💙 Lube Palette & Lube: I love using the lube palettes from @kineticlabs.store! I have one for each type I own. 😊 I’m also currently using 205g0 from @hippokeyscom for linears, and TriboSys 3203 from @kineticlabs.store for tactiles. I also have TriboSys 3204, GS2 Grease, and others, but the two I featured is what I’ve been grabbing lately. Also, GPL 105/106 from @minokeys for springs!
💙 Lube Brush: I’ve been using the size 0 brush from @hippokeyscom! It’s comfy to hold and the bristles are great quality! ✌🏻
💙 Switch Films & Tweezers: I use a lot of different switch film brands, but for these, I’m using Durock. I also LOVE the tweezer kit I bought from @thekey.company! You can use use code ✨Mochi✨ for 5% off. It has a lot of variety for various things!
💙 Stem Holder: the design for this one is pretty standard too, but the one featured is from @kineticlabs.store. It’s very handy for handling switch stems!
