Released in Spring 2021, the 115.8 proof Penelope Barrel Strength Batch 6 is the newest non-chill filtered, barrel proof version of Penelope Bourbon's signature four grain mash bill. This mash bill comes from a blend of MGP wheated and high rye mash bills, resulting in a final combination of 74% corn, 16% wheat, 7% rye, and 3% malted barley. Coming in somewhere between 3.5 & 4.5 years old, the big question is whether this bourbon can match up to the chic bottle design and excellent marketing the brand is known for, or fall flat as a product that simply needs more time in the barrel.
