White blood cells (neutrophils) can't usually be seen doing their job, defending us against infection. These neutrophils have been labelled with a green protein in a zebrafish, which allows us to see them through the transparent fish. This means we can see them as they move around and do their job during a real inflammatory process in a living fish.
