(20 Mar 2018) Rocxanne Deschamps, who took in Florida school shooting suspect, Nikolas Cruz after his mother died, told reporters Tuesday of the struggles she had with Cruz before the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
Deschamps said she called 911 several times with concerns over Cruz's access to guns.
She said she told police about a prior incident she knew of in which Nicholas had put a gun to his mother's head and his brother's head. "Law enforcement said nothing could be done," she said.
Nikolas Cruz was living with a different family when the Stoneman Douglas shooting took place. His attorney has said he will plead guilty to 17 counts of murder and 17 counts of attempted murder if prosecutors will waive the death penalty, which they have refused to do.
