Snake Dissection (Part 2. Internal Anatomy): [ Ссылка ]
Learn how to dissect a snake in this video, which also covers the external & internal anatomy and physiology. In this simple dissection of a snake, you’ll learn various parts of the vertebrate anatomy.
Although snakes get a bit of a bad rep, they are incredibly important organisms in our ecosystem and have a beautifully unique biology that’s fascinating to learn about. For example, did you know that snakes only have one lung to accommodate for their narrow bodies? Their lungs also have a honeycomb-like interior to maximize surface area for gas exchange!
In these videos, you’ll learn general information about snakes, which will be tied into the snake’s many anatomical structures. We’ll also explain how each organ’s structure connects with its function. Anatomy and physiology are fundamentally linked, and learning about the structures of anatomy and connecting them to physiological functions are a great way to achieve a deeper understanding of both concepts.
This dissection lab is for anyone who is curious about snake anatomy, wants to cover reptilian anatomy for AP Biology, missed the snake dissection during biology class, or just wants to have a fun time. These videos will teach you how to dissect a snake step by step, and review the external and internal anatomy of a snake.
In these videos, we’ll cover the following structures:
Skin
Scales
Brille
Nostrils
Tongue
Teeth
Jaws
Cloaca
Trachea
Lung
Heart
Liver
Esophagus
Stomach
Gastric rugae
Pancreas
Intestines
Ovaries
Kidneys
