In todays video, Coach Travis takes us through a tough cardio interval session at Hardesty Park in west Akron. This workout can be done anywhere you have room to run .66 miles give or take. These types of workout are very taxing mentally as they are physically. You will have to dig deep and block out any negativity in your mind as you struggle to match your time on each lap! The workout is below.. have fun!
Warm up -
1 lap or .66 mile warm up run followed by 3 rounds of 20 squats, 20 reverse lunges, and 20 jumping jacks.
Workout -
5 timed laps around the park.
Once your warm up is complete, you will run your first lap with a 7-8/10 effort. As your finish the lap, stop your timer and see how long it took you. You will then rest minimum of 1 minute or max of 2 minutes, the proceed with your next lap. The goal is stay within 5-10 seconds of your first lap!
Cool Down -
1 walking lap and finishing with some static hamstring and quad stretches along with some hip openers.
