E-Course by Dr. Francis Pitard
Sampling systems experts, Promimex and Tecpromin, in collaboration with the Zacatecas' Mining Cluster cordially invite you to join Dr. Francis Pitard's 2-day e-course focused on the benefits of applying the principles of Sampling Correctness to optimize metallurgical processing.
Part 2 - Quantifying a Sampling Bias is an Exercise in Futility
Many people think that if they can quantify the sampling bias, they then can decide if they can live with the bias or not. Unfortunately, in sampling there is no such thing as a constant sampling bias, especially if there are several superimposed sampling bias in the sampling system. Adherence to sampling correctness with no possible negotiation will save time, money, and many unnecessary and unfortunate meetings for the many years to come during the life time of a project. Basically, "sampling is not gambling."
