Sri Lanka's Electronic Transactions Act of 2006 now recognises digital signatures which bring greater security and efficiency to transactions and the economy.
In this interview, Jayantha Fernando, who spearheaded the new law and was a former Chair of the Sri Lanka Computer Emergency Readiness Team (SLCERT) discusses how digital signatures will speed up Sri Lanka's transition to a digital economy.
