Roman, our one year old Bernese Mountain Dog & Slovensky Cuvac Mix dog had been digging and sliding under the fence to get out of the yard. Worried about his safety, we strung one electric line about 6 inches off the ground to deter his midnight escapades. He touched the wire one time a week ago and still will not go on that side of the yard. Problem solved. Fence is turned off. That shock broke our hearts, too. We love our fur babies.
