“Children cannot go for a branch of sports despite their desire to do so because of gender-based stereotypes. Therefore, we first need to break down these social stereotypes to eliminate injustice,” says Mehmet Asım Baykan, doctor and athlete health center coordinator of Fenerbahçe Sports Club.
 
HeForShe Turkey is working to ensure gender equality in sports through the ”Equal Together" project. Fenerbahçe Sports Club employees, athletes and technical team are provided with gender equality training.
