Self- massage is one of the best ways to solve constipation. Emotionally, constipation is about holding on, controlling what we feel like we can’t control to have a bowel we have to feel safe to let go. So self massage can help us to relax and release.
I thought it could be interesting to try the reflex points for the colon on the bottom of our feet and see if it helped to relieve constipation.
1. Find a comfortable seated position
2. Rub your hands together until they are warm
3. Prop your right foot up so that you can access the sole of your foot
4. Now massage your ascending colon and transverse colon (see visuals in video).
5. Switch to the bottom of your left foot and massage the transverse colon and descending colon. (see visuals in video.
