The Old Testament references a Silver Cord – the connection between the Spirit and the Body, via the Perispirit. People who have had NDEs (near death experiences) have commented on seeing a silver cord which is attached from their soul to their body. Spiritism tells us this is real and is the conduit between our spirit and our physical body.
