After nearly 6 months of work, the Panthers Virtual Jazz Orchestra is proud to present, in it's entirety, all three movements of the Insaneintherain Jazz Video Game Medley! This video is a combination of all three movements of our cover of the medley, with some improvements to the mixing to help it sound even better!

I am so glad to finally have completed this project! This was by far the biggest undertaking I have ever attempted, with over 70 hours being spent recording, mixing and fine-tuning every part to sound the best that it could possibly be. (Not to mention the countless hours that were spent putting each individual video together!) I owe a huge thanks to all of the musicians for their efforts in practicing and recording their parts for this project (in the middle of a pandemic!) - your hard work and dedication made working on this project something truly special!
I consider this video to be the definitive version of our cover of the Insaneintherain Jazz Video Game Medley. Not only are all three movements edited together into one single video, but I went back and revisited each movement to do some remixing, using some of the techniques that I learned near the very end of the process. Not only is the balance better (you can hear the inner voices, especially the string parts, much more clearly now) but there are also improvements in the way I EQ'd the instruments that hopefully made the sound just a little better. I will be keeping each individual movement up on this channel, in case anybody wants to look up a specific movement, but this is video is the one that I will be recommending that people check out.
Some additional thanks: Firstly, to John Green, who helped get this whole thing started in the first place. Without his vision, this project would never have gotten off the ground. Secondly, I'd like to thank Hannah Butler, who spent countless hours editing each movement. (And she made our awesome thumbnails!) I'm crazy slow when it comes to video editing, and if it wasn't for her work, this project might still be in development! I'd also like to thank Reed Andrews, for helping me with the mixing and teaching me a bunch of useful tricks that directly improved the audio quality of all three movements. I would also like to give a big thank you to Carlos "Insaneintherainmusic" Eiene, for arranging this whole work, and for allowing our group to perform it for you. He does jazz covers of video game music on his channel, so if you like what you hear, go check out his stuff at the link at the top of this description! Finally, I'd like to once again thank the performers - it was a distinct privilege to work with each and every one of you, and I will be looking back on this project fondly for years to come.
Thanks for watching!
