On the fourth day of our Journey, the day is packed full of exciting activity. Much of it is centered around geothermal activity in Iceland. We did not get to swim in the Grotto as Jon Snow and Igrid did, but we got to enjoy a similar grotto all by ourself.
The volcanic crater after was a nice hike, but somewhat shadowed by the other activities of the day. Especially the thundering waters of Dettifoss and Selfoss were simply breathtaking.
The basalt columns of Stuðlagil were a stunning ending for our day. The canyon did become the final resting place of our DJI Mavic Pro 2, though. Never use smart-features in tight places. Active track can overrule any caution of going straight backwards into a vertical wall. But apparently its fine if the backwards sensors fail, if the downwards sensors see water. We were able to rescue a bit of low quality drone footage from the cache. But the loss was still very sad.
