This session will explore government guidance, expectations and the challenges we face in planning and delivering high-quality remote education for learners with SEND in both mainstream and specialist settings.
Colleagues from Oak National Academy will share their experience and learning from developing an inclusive, accessible mainstream offer, as well as specialist resources, that have seen them deliver almost 35 million lessons and which continues to support significant numbers of students, families and schools across the country.
Connectivity, access to devices, accessibility and personalisation have and continue to be significant barriers to remote education. In this session we will share solutions and signpost resources to support colleagues to best meet the needs of their students and help reduce workload.
There have also been many silver linings across the pandemic, with many students thriving and making accelerated progress with remote learning. Alan Wood, Director of Evidence for Learning, joins us to share the amazing ways in which the Learning Shared Community has come together and collaborated, sharing their practice and exploring ways in which remote learning can enhance provision and support aspirational outcomes for students beyond COVID-19.
