Hogmanay is the traditional Scottish way to say goodbye to the year that's and welcome the new one. In Edinburgh's streets, you'll find music and people parading with torches towards the foot of the 'Crow' Hill, that overlooks the city. The celebration dates back to Gaelic, Nordics and Vikings, who used to light bonfires and burn big balls of straw to celebrate the Winter Solstice and the end of the harvesting season. Fire represents reborn and a new beginning.
If one day you visit Edinburgh during new year, you can assist the celebration. Check the official website: [ Ссылка ]
