In this video, we're going to be experimenting with reduction firing - a bit of a lost art. I'll be attempting to prevent my iron paint from oxidizing, and hopefully remaining a nice dark black. At least that's the goal in this firing.
So join me in this trial and error experiment, and see what we can learn from it in the process.

Figuring this out is pretty vital for me, as my ultimate pottery goal down the road is to recreate a Roosevelt black on white pottery replica which uses this type of method of firing.
