Notes on the data used for this project:
This study looks at CS:GO accounts that were active between May 2020 and May 2021. This left us with 7 million accounts from around the globe. 40% of these accounts did not have region data publicly available for them, and were therefore excluded from analysis. We are operating on the assumption that these unknown accounts were randomly distributed in terms of rank and region, but if that is not the case then these results could be skewed as a result.
