I recently picked up the iPhone 15 Pro Max and wanted to shoot something cool with it. This film is a proof of concept for a feature film that I want to shoot in the near future.
We shot this in a total of 2 hours, super run and gun, just with a couple of Amaran lights, the DJI Osmo Mobile 6, and haze
I think the iPhone 15 paired with film emulation from Dehancer is a killer combo. You can easily replicate the 90s to early 2000s 35mm film looks. The dad scene look is inspired by the early SAW films, and for the Son scene, I really just wanted to use a bunch of colors like early Euphoria. This film is kind of inspired by Beautiful Boy, Euphoria, and Requiem for a Dream combined in one. (at least the full-length feature is, with more characters and story involved)

I composed all original music in Logic Pro using Omnisphere 2.

I used only 2 60Ds for the DAD scene. I just stuck them out of the window in the living room. Then the bedroom had one clamped to the open door shining at the wall. For the SON scene, I used the Amaran 150c beamed towards a 5-1 reflector with a B7c bulb in the lamp. All shot in ProRes on the Native APP
