East Anglia has a wide range of arts and cultural activity to suit all ages and interests with a number of renowned festivals.
Norfolk has a wide range of festivals, including the Norfolk & Norwich Festival, Britain's first arts festival which began in 1772. There’s also the King’s Lynn Festival, Great Yarmouth’s Maritime Festival and Out There, a riotous weekend of performing arts and circus skills
Festivals in Suffolk include Latitude, Folk East, Snape Proms, Aldeburgh Music Festival, Aldeburgh Food & Drink Festival at Snape Maltings and High Tide.
There are major stately homes, historic houses and estates to visit across the region, including Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire, Audley End House in Essex and Somerleyton Hall in Suffolk. Norfolk has Sandringham, the rural retreat of the Royal family and Holkham Hall close to Wells-next-the-Sea.
